The Eaton 5E Gen2 1200 USB is a line-interactive uninterruptible power supply (UPS) that provides 1.2 kVA (660 W) backup power and surge protection for small office and home equipment. The compact black housing contains two Type E AC outlets and a USB 2.0 communication port for safe shutdown and monitoring. Eaton 5E Gen2 uses Automatic Voltage Regulation (double-boost AVR) to stabilise under- and overvoltage without wasting battery energy, and supports cold start and auto-restart after mains recovery.

It implements common national outlet formats for easy integration and offers automatic battery charging, periodic battery self-test and a replacement alarm to ensure reliable operation. USB connectivity enables integration with Windows, macOS and Linux power management and with Eaton UPS Companion software for energy analysis and parameter management. The unit is externally CE-certified (TUV) and covered by a two-year warranty.
