Extending high-quality video and USB keyboard/mouse signals over long distances can be a challenge in professional AV and IT environments. The ADDER CAT-X Dongle solves this by converting a computer's DVI-D video and USB HID signals into a format that travels reliably over standard CATx cabling, enabling remote console access up to 300 metres away.

Who is it for

This dongle is ideal for system administrators, broadcast engineers, and control room operators who need to manage computers from a distance without sacrificing video clarity or USB responsiveness. It is a perfect companion for existing AdderLink CATX series KVM extenders.

Tips

For best performance, use shielded CAT6 or CAT7 cable in electrically noisy environments. Ensure the host computer's USB port provides sufficient power; if not, consider a powered USB hub. This dongle is designed to work seamlessly with ADDER's CATX series receivers, so pairing it with the correct receiver model is recommended for optimal compatibility.
