The DIGITUS KVM Extender Set 4K HDMI (DS-55513) extends an HDMI signal up to 70 m at UHD resolution (4K/60Hz) while providing KVM/USB support for mouse, keyboard and touchscreen connections. The kit includes a compact transmitter and receiver and is compatible with Cat6, Cat7 and Cat8 cabling. It supports HDMI 2.0, HDCP 2.2/1.4 and EDID passback to maintain source-device compatibility.

Advantages

This extender set transmits 4K2K/60Hz video with HDR and 4:4:4 chroma subsampling and offers up to 18 Gbps video bandwidth. It supports KVM/USB functionality for remote peripherals, provides an HDMI loop-out on the transmitter for local monitoring, and features an audio extractor (S/PDIF) on the receiver. The unit is designed for straightforward installation over standard Cat6/7/8 cables and preserves HDCP and EDID information for reliable operation.

Ensure HDCP-protected sources remain connected through the extender and verify EDID settings if display compatibility issues occur.

Recommendations

For best performance at 4K/60Hz, use high-quality Cat6a/Cat7/Cat8 cables and keep cable runs within the specified 70 m maximum. When using HDCP-protected content, allow a short time for EDID negotiation after power-up; if problems persist, check source and display EDID settings.
