Zyxel XMG-105 Unmanaged 2.5G Ethernet (100/1000/2500) Γκρι

The Zyxel XMG-105 is an unmanaged 2.5G Ethernet switch with five RJ-45 ports that support 100/1000/2500 Mbps speeds and a switching capacity of 25 Gbps. Designed to upgrade home and small office networks without changing existing cabling, this compact grey switch provides a stable, fanless design and a 16,000-entry MAC address table for reliable device connectivity.

Advantages

The XMG-105 enables Multi‑Gig performance by offering five 2.5 Gigabit ports to maximize available bandwidth for compatible devices while keeping installation simple via plug-and-play operation. Its Multi‑Gig RJ‑45 ports allow speed upgrades from 1 Gbps to 2.5 Gbps using existing Cat5e/Cat6 cabling. The fanless construction ensures silent and stable operation suitable for home or office environments, and the switch supports common networking standards including IEEE 802.1p and IEEE 802.3 variants.

Suitable for

• Home networks requiring higher throughput for streaming and 4K video
• Small offices and SoHo setups needing increased LAN bandwidth
• LAN parties and gaming rigs using 2.5G-capable consoles or PCIe adapters
• Connecting WiFi 6 access points and 2.5G NAS devices

How to use

Place the XMG-105 on a desk or mount it on a wall using the provided mounting options. Connect power to the unit, then plug network devices (PCs, NAS, WiFi access points, gaming consoles) into the 2.5G RJ‑45 ports using your existing Ethernet cables. The switch is unmanaged and works with plug-and-play simplicity — devices will negotiate the highest supported speed automatically.

Recommendations

To achieve Multi‑Gig speeds, use Cat5e or Cat6 cables in good condition and ensure connected devices support 2.5G Ethernet. Place the fanless switch in a well-ventilated area to maintain stable operation and avoid covering ventilation openings. For best results with multiple high-bandwidth devices, distribute connections across the available ports to balance traffic.
