Ξύλινος πλάστης Marcato IL MATTARELLO Heritage MTL-HER — Ξύλινο design

Marcato IL MATTARELLO Heritage MTL-HER — wooden design is a traditional wooden rolling pin intended for home baking and pastry work. The simple cylindrical shape and smooth wooden surface provide even pressure across the dough, supporting consistent thickness when preparing pasta, pastries, pies and other baked goods. Designed for everyday kitchen use, this rolling pin fits hobby bakers and home cooks who prefer a classic wooden tool for shaping and flattening dough.

Advantages

The wooden construction offers a natural, warm surface that is gentle on dough and reduces sticking when lightly floured. Its balanced weight and uniform diameter help achieve even rolling without exerting excessive force. The straightforward design is easy to clean and store, and the wooden material provides tactile control that many users find preferable to metal or silicone alternatives.

Suitable for

• Rolling pasta sheets such as tagliatelle, pappardelle and lasagne
• Flattening pastry and pie crusts
• Shaping cookie dough and biscuit bases
• Everyday home baking and small-batch production

Key specifications

• Material: wood (traditional wooden finish)
• Shape: straight cylindrical rolling pin
• Surface: smooth, untreated or lightly finished wood suitable for dusting with flour
• Intended use: manual rolling of dough for pasta, pastries and baked goods
• Design: single-piece classic rolling pin for even pressure distribution

How to use

Lightly flour the rolling pin and the work surface before use to minimize sticking. Place the dough on the floured surface and roll evenly from the center outward, turning the dough periodically to maintain a uniform thickness. Apply steady, even pressure rather than forceful pressing to avoid tearing or uneven areas. For pasta, roll to the desired thickness and cut as required; for pastry, roll to the specified diameter before transferring to your baking dish.

Recommendations

After use, wipe the rolling pin with a dry or slightly damp cloth and allow it to air dry completely. Do not soak or wash in a dishwasher. Periodically condition the wooden surface with a food-safe oil or wax to maintain the finish and prevent drying or cracking. Store in a dry place away from direct heat or moisture.
