WLAN adapter TP-Link TL-WN881ND 300 Mbit/s Wireless N PCI Express

The TP-Link TL-WN881ND 300Mbps Wireless N PCI Express adapter enables a desktop PC to connect to 2.4 GHz wireless networks with wireless-N (802.11n) speeds up to 300 Mbps. Designed for installation in a PCI Express x1 slot, the adapter supports mixed 802.11b/g/n environments and provides improved range and throughput compared with single-antenna cards. The low-profile form factor and bundled installation CD simplify setup and integration into compact desktop systems.

Advantages

Using 2T2R MIMO technology, the adapter offers stronger signal penetration and wider wireless coverage, which helps maintain higher throughput at greater distances than legacy 1T1R products. Clear Channel Assessment (CCA) reduces channel conflicts to stabilize wireless performance. Security is provided via WPA/WPA2 and WEP support, and QSS (WPS) enables simple, secure connection setup. The card is compatible with common Windows versions and interoperable with 802.11b/g/n devices.

Suitable for

• Streaming HD video over a 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi network
• Online gaming on a desktop PC
• General web browsing and VoIP calls
• Upgrading desktops without built-in Wi‑Fi or replacing older adapters

Boot the computer and run the bundled CD utility to install drivers and configuration software, or download the latest drivers from the TP‑Link website. Use the utility or the operating system network manager to select the desired SSID, enter the wireless security key, or press the router's WPS button and use QSS to establish a quick secure connection.

Recommendations

For best performance place the desktop in a location with minimal large obstacles between the adapter and the wireless router, use WPA2-AES where available for stronger security, and update drivers periodically to ensure compatibility and stability.
