Wireless Access Point MikroTik wAP LTE kit 2024 — 2,4 GHz, 300 Mbps, IP54, PoE, Υποδοχή SIM

wAP LTE kit is a compact weatherproof wireless access point designed for outdoor installation on walls, porches, gardens or other exposed locations where economical and reliable 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi coverage is required. The 2024 revision includes an improved LTE modem with support for the B28 band and maintains flexible power options: passive PoE-in via the Ethernet port, a standard DC jack and an automotive plug. The unit is white, supports IEEE 802.11b/g/n with up to 300 Mbit/s on the 2.4 GHz band, and features a single 10/100 Mbps RJ‑45 Ethernet port.

Advantages

The wAP LTE kit provides weatherproof construction with tamper-resistant mounting that allows the device to be fixed from inside the case and an anti-vandal screw for added security. Its revised LTE modem improves cellular connectivity and adds B28 band support. Multiple power options (PoE, DC jack, automotive plug) simplify installation in different environments while the low maximum power consumption (about 6 W) helps reduce operating costs.

How to use

Mount the wAP LTE kit on an external wall and route the Ethernet cable through the rear opening for a discreet installation. Secure the bottom part with the supplied anti‑vandal screw if additional protection is required. Connect power using a compatible passive PoE injector into the Ethernet port, or use the DC jack or automotive plug depending on available power sources. Configure wireless and LTE settings through the MikroTik RouterOS web interface or WinBox according to your network and provider requirements.

Recommendations

Place the device where it has good LTE signal and clear line of sight to the area needing Wi‑Fi. Use the rear cable entry to minimise visible cabling and consider the anti‑vandal screw when the unit is in a publicly accessible location.
