Wi‑Fi USB adapter QOLTEC NANO 56986 — Mini-N, USB 2.0, 802.11n

The QOLTEC NANO 56986 is a compact Wi‑Fi USB adapter that enables wireless network access via a USB 2.0 port using the 802.11n (Wi‑Fi N) standard. Its ultra‑small nano form factor is intended for laptops, desktops and thin clients where space and portability matter. The adapter provides basic wireless connectivity suitable for web browsing, email and standard‑definition streaming at N‑class speeds and can be used to add or restore Wi‑Fi capability to devices without built‑in wireless.

Advantages

The adapter’s miniaturized design minimizes protrusion from the host device while maintaining compatibility with USB 2.0 ports. Use of the 802.11n standard offers improved range and throughput compared to older 802.11b/g devices, and the plug‑and‑play behaviour on supported systems simplifies installation. Its compact size makes it convenient for mobile use and unobtrusive when left connected to a laptop or desktop.

Suitable for

• Adding wireless connectivity to desktops or thin clients without Wi‑Fi
• Restoring Wi‑Fi access on laptops with a faulty or missing internal adapter
• Basic web browsing, email and streaming at Wi‑Fi N speeds
• Travel use where a small, low‑profile adapter is preferred

Position the adapter so it remains unobstructed for the best signal reception.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the adapter with networks and routers operating in 802.11n mode. Ensure the operating system has current updates and, if necessary, install the correct driver version provided by the manufacturer for full compatibility.
