The Rittal 8617.506 mounting bracket set includes six brackets manufactured from stainless steel and steel for reliable durability and mechanical strength. Designed for rack and equipment mounting tasks, these brackets provide a corrosion-resistant surface where stainless steel is used and structural support where steel components are applied. The set format of six pieces is suitable for multi-point fixing and standardized installation patterns in electrical, IT and industrial enclosures.

Advantages

Combining stainless steel and steel materials delivers a balance of corrosion resistance and load-bearing capacity. The brackets are produced to consistent dimensional tolerances for predictable fitment in compatible racks and enclosures. Supplied in a set of six, the brackets simplify procurement for small installations or replacement needs and reduce the number of separate part orders.

How to use

Identify the required mounting points in the rack or enclosure and position the bracket so that screw holes align with the mating surface. Use appropriate fasteners and washers compatible with rack thread standards and the materials used to avoid galvanic corrosion. Tighten fasteners to the torque recommended for the fastener size and substrate; avoid over-torquing which can deform the bracket or strip threads. For multi-bracket assemblies, install brackets in sequence to ensure even load distribution and alignment of mounted equipment.

Recommendations

Store brackets in a dry environment prior to installation. When used in mixed-metal assemblies, apply appropriate insulation or anti-corrosion measures at contact points between stainless steel and other metals. Inspect brackets periodically for signs of deformation or corrosion in high-humidity or chemically aggressive environments.
