How to use

Position the mount on a flat, stable surface where the detector will be most effective, typically on a ceiling or high on a wall. Mark and drill fixing holes through the mount aligned with the chosen surface, insert appropriate anchors if fixing to drywall or masonry, then secure the base with screws. Attach the detector to the mounted base following the detector manufacturer's instructions, ensuring electrical connections are made only after power is isolated. Verify alignment and secure fit before restoring power and testing the detector.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use the mount only indoors in dry areas and avoid locations exposed to moisture or direct drafts. Choose screw anchors and fasteners appropriate to the substrate, and follow the detector manufacturer's installation and testing procedures. Regularly check the mechanical stability of the mount and the detector during routine maintenance.
