Transcend DrivePro 20 Dashcam

The Transcend DrivePro 20 is a compact, helmet-mountable dashcam designed for motorcycles and scooters. It records Full HD 1920 x 1080 video at up to 60 fps with a 140° wide-angle lens, using a STARVIS high-sensitivity image sensor and Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) to capture clear color images in low light. The unit has an aluminum exterior, an IP68 rating for dust and water protection, and meets US military drop-test standards for shock resistance. A built-in Li-Polymer battery provides up to 2.5 hours of recording per charge, and Wi‑Fi connectivity works with the DrivePro App for real-time playback and file download to mobile devices.

Advantages

The DrivePro 20 combines a STARVIS sensor and WDR for improved low-light performance and accurate color, while its 140° lens captures wide scenes including license plates. Its rugged aluminum housing and IP68 rating ensure durability in harsh outdoor conditions. Built-in Wi‑Fi simplifies access to recorded footage without removing the memory card, and the high-capacity battery enables portable operation for rides. Included micro USB to USB-A charging cable supports 5 V charging from computers and other devices.

Recommendations

Keep the firmware and DrivePro App updated, use a high-quality MicroSD card (recommended class and capacity per Transcend guidelines), and ensure the camera and mount are securely fixed to reduce vibration. Rely on the automatic power-saving mode to preserve battery when idle, and review footage via Wi‑Fi after each ride for evidence or incident documentation.
