The Pro Fit® Ergo TB550 Trackball combines the feel of a wireless mouse with the precision and space-saving benefits of an advanced trackball. Its sculpted ergonomic shape with a 45° tilt supports improved wrist and forearm alignment for extended use. The device offers both Bluetooth® Low Energy (LE) and 2.4 GHz wireless connection options, seven programmable buttons, an enhanced 4D scroll wheel for four-direction scrolling, a long-life rechargeable battery charged via USB-C®, and a patented ball ejection system for easy cleaning. The trackball housing is made using 51% recycled plastic.

Advantages

The ergonomic 45° tilt design reduces wrist pronation and promotes a more natural hand position, while the compact footprint requires less desk space than a conventional mouse. Dual wireless connectivity (Bluetooth LE and 2.4 GHz) provides flexible pairing options. A rechargeable battery offers extended runtime up to several months on a single charge, and the patented ejection button simplifies routine cleaning. Programmable buttons and an enhanced 4D scroll wheel improve navigation and workflow efficiency. The product also includes 128-bit AES encryption for secure wireless communication.

Key specifications

Trackball diameter: 34 mm thumb-operated ball
Cursor speeds: 4 switchable DPI settings — 400, 800, 1200, 1600 DPI
Buttons: 7 programmable buttons (compatible with KensingtonWorks™ software)
Scroll: Enhanced 4D scroll wheel (four-direction scrolling)
Connectivity: Bluetooth® Low Energy (LE) and 2.4 GHz wireless (nano receiver included)
Battery: Rechargeable via USB-C®, up to several months of typical use per charge
Materials: Housing contains 51% recycled plastic
Security: 128-bit AES wireless encryption
Installation: Plug & Play
Cleaning: Patented ball ejection system for easy removal and cleaning

How to use

Choose a wireless connection method: pair the trackball via Bluetooth® Low Energy (LE) from your device settings or insert the included 2.4 GHz nano receiver into a USB port for automatic recognition. Place your thumb on the 34 mm trackball and move it to control the cursor; adjust DPI using the available switch to select 400, 800, 1200 or 1600 for the desired pointer speed. Use the 4D scroll wheel for vertical, horizontal and diagonal scrolling. Personalize button functions with the complimentary KensingtonWorks™ software if needed. Charge the device through the USB-C® port and follow on-screen indicators or device documentation for battery status.

Recommendations

For optimal ergonomics, position the trackball so your forearm rests comfortably and your wrist remains in a neutral alignment. Clean the trackball periodically using the patented ejection button to remove the ball and clear debris. Use the DPI settings to match pointer speed to your workflow and enable 128-bit AES encryption when using wireless connections in public or unsecured networks.
