Τηλεμετατροπέας Sony SEL20TC

Teleconverter Sony SEL20TC — a 2.0x teleconverter for Sony E-mount designed to double the effective focal length of compatible lenses while preserving optical quality and operability. Compact and lightweight, it extends reach with minimal weight penalty and a predictable 2-stop light loss, making it suitable for demanding outdoor photography where extra reach is required without changing the main lens.

Advantages

The SEL20TC maintains full G Master performance when used with compatible glass, preserving resolution, contrast and autofocus operation. Its advanced optical design (5/8 elements/groups) minimises aberrations and keeps image quality high. The unit is compact and lightweight (approx. 207 g) and uses the Sony E mount for seamless integration and reliable mechanical and electronic connections with compatible MILC/SLR bodies.

Suitable for

• Wildlife photography requiring increased reach
• Sports photography where extra focal length is needed
• Outdoor shooting when changing lenses is impractical
• Photographers using Sony E-mount cameras and compatible lenses

How to use

Attach the teleconverter between the camera body and a compatible lens (currently SEL70200GM) following the alignment marks on both mounts. Mount the lens onto the teleconverter and then attach the assembly to the camera body, ensuring all contacts are clean and properly engaged. Because the teleconverter reduces effective aperture by two stops, adjust exposure settings (ISO, aperture, shutter speed) or use a faster shutter speed as needed. Verify autofocus and stabilisation behaviour on your camera after mounting.

Recommendations

Use the SEL20TC with lenses confirmed compatible by the manufacturer to retain full optical and AF performance. Be aware of the 2-stop light loss and choose appropriate exposure settings or higher ISO in lower light. For best results in fast-action situations, test autofocus responsiveness and consider tracking modes on your Sony camera.
