Techly IDATA HDMI2-4K8HDR Video Splitter HDMI 8x HDMI

The Techly IDATA-HDMI2-4K8HDR is an HDMI video splitter designed to distribute a single HDMI source to multiple displays. It supports up to eight HDMI outputs plus one input (total 9 HDMI ports) and can handle resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 pixels. The unit has a compact black enclosure, measures for short-distance distribution (recommended maximum cable length up to 5 metres), is powered by a 5V AC adapter and has a typical power consumption of 13W. Weighing approximately 1.02 kg, the splitter is intended for installations that require consistent image duplication across several screens while preserving high-definition quality and HDR compatibility where supported by source and displays.

Advantages

The IDATA-HDMI2-4K8HDR offers simultaneous distribution of a single HDMI signal to multiple displays without loss of resolution up to 4K UHD. Its compact form factor and modest weight make it suitable for shelf- or rack-adjacent placement. With support for up to eight outputs, the device reduces the need for multiple source units and simplifies wiring in environments where the same content must be shown on several screens. Low typical power consumption and a 5V power input provide straightforward installation and energy-efficient operation.

Suitable for

• Retail displays and digital signage where identical content is required across multiple screens
• Meeting rooms and conference spaces needing the same presentation on several monitors
• Educational settings such as classrooms or lecture halls with multiple displays
• Trade shows and exhibition booths distributing a single source to several panels

• Video port type: HDMI
• Number of HDMI ports: 9 (1 input + 8 outputs)
• Maximum supported resolution: 3840 x 2160 pixels (4K UHD)
• Maximum recommended cable length: up to 5 metres
• Power input: 5V AC adapter
• Typical power consumption: 13W

How to use

Connect the HDMI source (computer, media player, or other HDMI output device) to the splitter's input port, and connect up to eight HDMI cables from the splitter's output ports to the destination displays. Use high-quality HDMI cables of appropriate specification to preserve 4K resolution and HDR features. Plug the supplied 5V AC adapter into the splitter and a mains outlet to power the unit. Power on the source and connected displays; the splitter will duplicate the source signal across all active outputs. Ensure that source and display devices are configured to compatible resolution and refresh-rate settings if automatic negotiation does not yield the desired display output.

Recommendations

For reliable 4K performance, use HDMI cables rated for 4K/UHD and keep cable runs within the recommended 5-metre distance. Verify that source and displays support HDR and matching resolutions. In multi-display setups, power cycle source and displays after initial connections if any display fails to sync, and place the splitter where ventilation is adequate to avoid heat buildup.
