• Home AV systems and media players requiring colour-coded connections
• Prototyping and DIY audio/video projects

Key specifications

• Connector type: female RCA (phono) connector
• Colour: yellow for quick channel identification
• Intended signals: analogue audio and composite video
• Form factor: single, panel- or cable-mounted compatible design

How to use

Install the female RCA connector by preparing the cable end or panel opening according to standard RCA dimensions, then secure the connector mechanically and establish soldered or crimped electrical connections as required by your cable type. Ensure the centre contact mates fully with the male RCA plug and that the outer shell provides a continuous ground connection. Verify signal continuity and shielding after assembly to confirm reliable audio/video performance.

Recommendations

Use the yellow female RCA connector for composite video lines to maintain clear cable identification. Avoid exposure to excessive moisture and mechanical strain; route cables to minimize bending near the connector. For best results, test connections after installation and replace connectors that show wear or intermittent contact.
