The ShiverPeaks BS07-60034 LC/LC Female/Female fibre optic connector is a bulkhead-style adapter intended to join two LC-terminated fibre cables with a secure female-to-female interface. Designed for use in structured cabling and patch panel installations, this connector provides a compact footprint and alignment suitable for singlemode and multimode LC ferrules where compatible. The product is supplied as a single-piece pack and is intended to simplify inline or panel-mounted mating of LC connectors while maintaining consistent optical alignment and minimal insertion loss.

Advantages

This bulkhead LC/LC female-to-female connector features a compact design that saves space in patch panels and enclosures. Its precision alignment provides stable optical coupling and helps reduce insertion loss and back reflection when used with compatible LC fibre terminations. The adapter format enables quick mating and demating of LC plugs without altering installed cabling, and the single-piece supply makes it easy to manage spare parts or small-scale deployments.

Suitable for

• Joining two LC-terminated patch cords in racks or wall-mounted panels
• Extending fibre runs where a bulkhead adapter is required
• Temporary or permanent fibre patching in data centres and telecom cabinets
• Lab and testbench fibre interconnection for measurement and troubleshooting

Key specifications

• Connector type: LC female to LC female bulkhead adapter
• Mounting style: bulkhead / panel-mount compatible
• Quantity: single unit per pack
• Form factor: duplex or simplex compatibility depending on panel orientation
• Typical application: optical patching and cable coupling for LC-terminated fibres

How to use

Install the bulkhead adapter into the appropriate panel cutout or enclosure slot and secure it according to the panel manufacturer’s instructions. Insert LC fibre plugs from either side until they click into place, ensuring the connectors are clean and free of dust before mating. For removal, depress the LC latch and withdraw the plug straight out to avoid damaging ferrules. Regular inspection and cleaning of end faces will help preserve signal quality and reduce insertion loss.

Recommendations

Use a validated fibre cleaning tool to clean connector end faces before mating, avoid bending fibre beyond recommended radii near the adapter, and verify connections with an optical power meter when precision performance is required.
