Καλώδιο SAS MAG SAS-8888-2 2 m, Serial Attached SCSI SFF-8088 σε SFF-8088, μαύρο

MAG SAS-8888-2 is a 2 m Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) cable with SFF-8088 connectors on both ends, designed for high-speed external storage connections. The cable provides a direct link between SAS controllers, host bus adapters and external SAS enclosures, enabling reliable data transfer for server racks, backup arrays and enterprise storage systems. Its black jacket and compact connector housings suit professional IT environments where neat cabling and robust signal integrity are required.

Advantages

The cable supports SAS protocol signaling over a shielded construction that minimises interference and ensures stable high-bandwidth data transmission. With standard SFF-8088 terminations on both ends, it offers plug-and-play compatibility with equipment that accepts external mini SAS external (SFF-8088) interfaces. The 2 m length balances reach and signal performance for typical rack-to-enclosure or shelf-to-controller connections while the durable outer sheath improves mechanical protection in dense installations.

Suitable for

• Connecting external SAS enclosures to SAS controllers or host bus adapters
• Linking backup systems and tape libraries to server hardware
• High-bandwidth data transfer between storage arrays in rack environments
• Replacing or extending existing SFF-8088 external SAS connections

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFF-8088 to SFF-8088 (external mini SAS)
• Length: 2 metres
• Colour: black outer jacket
• Supported interface: Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) external link
• Construction: shielded cable for reduced electromagnetic interference

How to use

Insert each SFF-8088 connector into the corresponding external SAS port on the controller and the enclosure until the connector is fully seated. Ensure connectors are aligned correctly before applying pressure to avoid damaging the port. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and maintain recommended bend radius; secure with cable ties or rack management clips if necessary. After connection, verify link status on both devices and confirm recognized devices in the host system's storage management interface.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the cable in environments compatible with SAS external connection distances and avoid running alongside high-voltage power lines. Inspect connectors for contamination before installation and replace the cable if physical damage or signal errors occur.
