Attach external displays directly to the dock and configure display settings in Windows or macOS as needed. Insert SD or MicroSD cards into the card slots and connect peripherals to the USB ports. No driver installation is typically required; the dock operates as plug-and-play when the host laptop supports the required USB-C alternate mode and Power Delivery.

Recommendations

For best results, use a laptop that supports USB-C DP Alt Mode and 100W Power Delivery. On macOS, expect a single 5K external display; on Windows, use the MX3 to run up to three 4K displays. Ensure the dock’s AC adapter and regional plug match your power outlet, and keep firmware and system updates current on the host laptop to maintain compatibility.
