Smart Home Multi-Sensor Aqara PS-S02D φως κίνηση ενσύρματο ασύρματο

The Aqara Presence Sensor FP2 (model PS-S02D) is a smart home multi-sensor that uses millimeter-wave radar technology to detect human presence and motion with high sensitivity. It supports zone positioning, multi-person detection and includes a built-in light sensor. The sensor can operate wired or wirelessly and connects via Wi‑Fi while being powered by USB, making it suitable for automated presence-aware actions in home environments.

Advantages

The sensor provides more reliable and continuous presence detection compared with traditional PIR infrared motion sensors, detecting slight movements and distinguishing up to five targets. A single monitored area can be divided into up to 30 configurable zones for more granular automation. Integration with smart home ecosystems such as Apple Home enables control of other devices, and additional features include human fall recognition and an integrated light sensor for combined light-and-motion automation.

Suitable for

• Room presence detection and lighting automation
• Multi-person monitoring in shared spaces (up to five people)
• Zoned automation (bed, table, seating areas — up to 30 zones)
• Fall detection and safety monitoring
• Integration with Apple Home and other smart home systems

How to use

Install the sensor in the desired location and connect it to power via USB. Configure Wi‑Fi connectivity following the Aqara setup procedure and add the device to your preferred ecosystem such as Apple Home for automation. Use the companion app to define zones, set presence or fall-detection actions, and link the sensor to lights or other smart devices to trigger automated responses based on detected presence and ambient light levels.

Recommendations

Place the sensor where it has a clear view of the monitored area for optimal zone detection. Avoid placing it behind large obstructions or too close to heat sources. Use the app to calibrate zone boundaries and sensitivity to match room layout and activity patterns.
