SMA Solar SMA Home Storage βασική μονάδα HS-BU-10

The SMA Home Storage Base Unit HS-BU-10 is the central component of the SMA Home Storage System, engineered to accommodate up to four battery modules and deliver a maximum system power of 10 kW. Unlike standalone battery cabinets, this base unit integrates seamlessly with compatible SMA inverters, enabling a DC-coupled architecture that maximizes energy efficiency and supports black start capability.

Highlights

• Supports up to 4 SMA Home Storage Battery Modules (HS-BM-3.2 or HS-BM-6.4) for a total capacity of up to 25.6 kWh
• Max. system charge/discharge power: 10 kW
• DC voltage range: 100 V – 500 V
• Communication interfaces: Ethernet, WLAN, RS485 for flexible monitoring and control
• Wall-mounted design with IP20 protection for indoor installation
• LED status indicators for at-a-glance system health
• Convection cooling – silent operation, no moving parts
• Compatible with SMA Energy App and Sunny Portal for remote monitoring

In daily use

Installed in a utility room or garage, the HS-BU-10 acts as the backbone of your home energy storage. Its four slots allow incremental capacity expansion – start with one module and add more as your needs grow. The unit communicates with the inverter and battery modules via RS485, while Ethernet or WLAN connectivity enables cloud-based monitoring. The black start capability ensures that in the event of a grid outage, the system can restart and supply power to critical loads when paired with a compatible backup solution.
