Skywatcher Silver Plossl 7.5mm 1.25 inch Προσοφθάλμιο

The Skywatcher Silver Plossl 7.5mm eyepiece delivers a true 52° apparent field of view in a compact, fully multi-coated optical system. Unlike basic eyepieces that suffer from edge distortion and internal reflections, this Plossl uses four precision-aligned lens elements with blackened edges to maximize contrast and suppress stray light. The result is a crisp, high-power view that reveals fine lunar detail and tight double stars, even in fast telescopes.

Highlights

• 7.5mm focal length for high magnification planetary and lunar observation
• Classic 4-element Plossl design with multi-coated glass for bright, high-contrast images
• 52° apparent field of view offers a comfortable, immersive experience
• Standard 1.25" barrel fits virtually all telescope focusers and accessories
• Fold-down rubber eyecup blocks stray light and positions the eye correctly
• Threaded barrel accepts 1.25" filters for enhanced versatility

In daily use

This eyepiece excels when you need high power on the Moon, planets, and double stars. With 7.5mm of focal length, it transforms a typical 1000mm telescope into 133x magnification—ideal for splitting close binaries or tracing the Cassini Division in Saturn's rings. The 5mm eye relief is adequate for most observers, though eyeglass wearers may prefer a longer eye relief design. The fold-down rubber eyecup helps maintain the correct distance and shields the eye from ambient light. The anodized aluminum barrel is durable and lightweight, and the threaded top accepts standard 1.25" filters, allowing you to add a lunar filter or nebula filter as needed. Whether you are upgrading from a basic kit eyepiece or building a high-power set, the Silver Plossl 7.5mm provides reliable performance night after night.
