Πλάκα χελιδονοουράς L Skywatcher με προσαρμογέα 1/4

The Skywatcher 1/4-inch Dovetail L adapter (SW-4216) is a compact accessory designed to mount cameras, finders and other lightweight equipment to compatible dovetail saddles. It uses a standard 1/4-inch threaded screw interface to provide a secure connection while keeping the overall footprint small for easy positioning on telescopes and mounting rigs. The adapter is intended for simple, repeatable attachment and removal of accessories in amateur astronomy and general-purpose accessory mounting.

Advantages

The adapter offers a low-profile L-shaped bracket that keeps mounted devices close to the dovetail saddle, reducing leverage and improving balance. A standard 1/4-inch thread ensures broad compatibility with photographic and optical accessories. Its straightforward mechanical design allows quick installation and removal without tools in many setups, and the compact form factor minimizes additional weight on the mount.

Suitable for

• Attaching small cameras and action cams to dovetail saddles
• Mounting optical finders and red-dot sights
• Fixing lightweight accessories such as guide scopes, focusers, or adapters
• Temporary fixtures during setup, alignment, or astrophotography sessions

Key specifications

• Mount thread: standard 1/4-inch (photo thread) for camera and accessory compatibility
• Form factor: L-shaped dovetail adapter for low-profile mounting
• Intended use: accessory attachment to dovetail saddles and compatible mounting saddles
• Material and finish: mechanically robust construction suitable for telescope accessories (manufacturer-specified material)
• Weight category: lightweight accessory designed to minimize added load on mounts

How to use

Slide the adapter into a compatible dovetail saddle and position the L-bracket so the 1/4-inch threaded stud lines up with the accessory's mounting point. Thread the accessory onto the adapter’s 1/4-inch screw and tighten securely by hand; use appropriate tools only if necessary and avoid over-tightening. Check balance and clearance after mounting to ensure the added accessory does not interfere with telescope movement or cause significant imbalance on the mount.

Recommendations

For best results, use this adapter with lightweight cameras and optical accessories. Verify compatibility with your dovetail saddle and the accessory’s 1/4-inch thread before mounting. When used for astrophotography, confirm balance and perform gradual tracking tests to ensure stable performance.
