Καλώδιο οπτικών ινών ST S/CONN 77910 10 m OM2

The ShiverPeaks Fibre optic cable ST S/CONN 77910 10 m OM2 is a multimode patch cable with ST connectors on both ends and a 50 µm core diameter. Designed for short- to medium-range data transmission, this OM2 fibre supports full duplex links and is suitable for structured cabling, network equipment interconnects and laboratory setups that require stable optical performance over a 10 metre span.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable provides low-loss multimode transmission with consistent core geometry for predictable optical characteristics. The ST connectors offer a bayonet-style locking mechanism that ensures secure mating and easy insertion/removal. With a 10 m length and OM2 classification, the cable balances reach and manageability for typical networking racks and campus environments while supporting duplex communication for simultaneous transmit and receive channels.

Key specifications

• Fibre type: multimode OM2
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: ST to ST (both ends)
• Length: 10 metres
• Communication: full duplex
• Cable usage: patch/patch cord for indoor structured cabling

How to use

Route the cable along appropriate cable management paths avoiding sharp bends and crushing. Insert each ST connector into the corresponding ST port until the bayonet coupling seats; rotate and lock as required by the connector design. Verify correct polarity for duplex links so transmit and receive channels are matched between devices. After connection, run diagnostics or link tests to confirm signal levels and error rates before putting the link into production.

Recommendations

For reliable optical performance, maintain a bend radius greater than the manufacturer’s minimum (typically several times the cable diameter), keep connectors clean using appropriate fibre cleaning tools, and protect connector endfaces with dust caps when not in use. Use this OM2 50 µm cable for indoor short- to medium-range links where multimode optics are specified; for longer-distance or single-mode requirements select an appropriate single-mode cable and connectors.
