The Gedore 8866290 punch/nail set is manufactured from chrome-molybdenum-vanadium air-hardening steel (45CrMoV7) and is carefully hardened and tempered along its full length. Striking heads are inductively tempered, and the working edges are polished and protected with a clear varnish. The set is lightweight (123 g) and available in several sizes; special types or sizes are available on request. Some variants (marked with an asterisk) are not standardized.

How to use

Hold the tool securely and strike the inductively tempered head with a suitable hammer, using controlled blows to transfer force without slipping. For marking before drilling, use the center punch to create a small indentation. For removing pins or aligning components, use the appropriate drift and apply steady, centered blows. After use, wipe the tool clean and store in a dry place to maintain the varnish protection.

Recommendations

The tool is intended for manual striking applications; avoid using it with power tools or as a pry bar. For safety, wear eye protection when striking, and replace any piece that shows excessive wear, mushrooming of the striking head, or cracks.
