Σειριακός server PLANET ICS-110

PLANET ICS-110 Serial Device Server converts RS232, RS422 or RS485 serial communication to Fast Ethernet, providing a cost-effective way to connect legacy serial devices to a TCP/IP network. The unit features one 10/100BASE-TX RJ45 port and an operating temperature range of -10 to 60 °C. The ICS-110 allows integration of existing serial equipment and software into Ethernet networks without replacing hardware or applications.

Advantages

The ICS-110 supports multiple serial standards (RS232/422/485) and offers flexible remote management via web, telnet and virtual COM (VCOM) interfaces. It supports both application and serial operation modes for alarm or IP-based connections, simplifying fault detection and reducing maintenance time. The device can operate as a standalone unit or as a slide-in module for PLANET media converter chassis, enabling centralized power and space-efficient installation.

Key specifications

• Serial interfaces: RS232, RS422, RS485
• Network port: 1 × 10/100BASE-TX RJ45
• Operating temperature: -10 °C to 60 °C
• Management interfaces: Web, Telnet, VCOM (virtual COM)
• Mounting options: Stand-alone or slide-in module for MC-700/MC-1500 chassis

How to use

Connect the serial device to the appropriate RS232/422/485 port on the ICS-110 and connect the ICS-110 to the Ethernet network via the 10/100BASE-TX RJ45 port. Configure network settings and serial parameters through the web, telnet or VCOM management interface. Choose application or serial operation mode according to whether you need alarm/IP address connection or transparent serial-to-Ethernet tunneling. When used with a PLANET media converter chassis, slide the module into the chassis to receive centralized DC power and simplify cabling.

Recommendations

Use the ICS-110 to integrate legacy serial equipment into existing Ethernet-based systems without modifying serial devices or software; install in an MC-700 or MC-1500 chassis for centralized power and space-efficient mounting when deploying multiple modules.
