Σειριακό καλώδιο ShiverPeaks BS78045-3 γκρι 3 m DB-9

The ShiverPeaks BS78045-3 Grey 3m DB-9 is a 3-metre serial cable with a DB-9 connector designed for reliable RS-232 style data transmission between compatible devices. Its grey jacket and standard DB-9 terminations make it suitable for connecting computers, industrial equipment, modems, routers and other serial interfaces where a stable wired connection is required. The cable is constructed to provide consistent signal integrity over the full 3 m length while remaining flexible enough for rack, bench or desktop routing.

Advantages

This serial cable offers robust electrical continuity and a standard DB-9 interface for broad device compatibility. The 3 m length balances reach and manageability, reducing the need for adapters or extenders in typical setups. The outer jacket provides mechanical protection and flexibility, supporting repeated handling and installation in both personal and professional environments.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs or laptops to serial peripherals such as modems, UPS units or serial printers
• Linking industrial controllers, PLCs or instrumentation with DB-9 serial ports
• Serial console access to network equipment like routers, switches and firewalls
• Laboratory and bench setups requiring a stable wired serial link

Key specifications

• Connector type: DB-9 (9-pin) serial connector
• Cable length: 3 metres
• Color: grey outer jacket
• Interface: RS-232 compatible serial connection
• Construction: flexible insulated conductors with protective outer jacket

How to use

Connect the DB-9 connector to the serial port of your device and tighten any captive screws or fastening mechanism to secure the connection. Ensure the connected devices are configured for the same serial parameters (baud rate, parity, data bits, stop bits) before initiating communication. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends or high-stress pinch points and keep it clear of strong electromagnetic interference sources for best signal quality.

Recommendations

For reliable long-term operation, verify connector seating and periodically inspect the jacket for wear. When using in industrial environments, avoid running the cable parallel to heavy power lines and consider using ferrite clamps or shielded routing if interference is present.
