Σειριακό καλώδιο ShiverPeaks BS78041-3 γκρι 3 m DB-9

The ShiverPeaks BS78041-3 Grey 3 m DB-9 serial cable is a three-metre grey cable with DB-9 connectors at both ends, designed to provide reliable serial data transmission between devices. It is intended for standard RS-232 style connections where a compact DB-9 interface is required. The cable's simple construction and neutral colour make it suitable for rack, desktop and equipment-room installations where a discrete, functional connection is needed.

Advantages

This serial cable offers a straightforward solution for point-to-point serial communication with DB-9 connectors at each end, ensuring compatibility with many legacy and industrial devices. Its 3 m length provides flexibility for placement of connected equipment without excessive slack. The neutral grey jacket helps the cable blend into professional environments while maintaining visible identification. The design focuses on stable signal transfer for control, configuration and data logging tasks.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, PLCs, routers and modems with DB-9 serial ports
• Serial console access for network equipment and industrial controllers
• Data logging and configuration of instrumentation and measurement devices
• Workshop and laboratory setups requiring reliable RS-232 connections

Key specifications

• Cable length: 3 m
• Connector type: DB-9 to DB-9
• Product colour: Grey
• Application: Serial RS-232 style data transmission

How to use

Connect one DB-9 connector to the serial port of the host device and the other DB-9 connector to the peripheral device required for communication. Ensure connectors are aligned and seated firmly; if screws are present on the connector housings, tighten them to prevent accidental disconnection. Configure the serial communication parameters (baud rate, parity, data bits, stop bits, flow control) on both devices to match before initiating data transfer. For devices that require null-modem wiring, verify wiring configuration or use a suitable adapter.

Recommendations

Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress, and keep it away from high-voltage power cables or strong electromagnetic sources to reduce interference. For fixed installations use strain relief or cable ties to secure the cable and prevent connector strain. Inspect connectors periodically for wear or corrosion when used in industrial environments.
