Σειριακό καλώδιο ShiverPeaks BS78023-3 γκρι 3m DB-25

The ShiverPeaks BS78023-3 Grey 3m DB-25 is a 3-metre serial cable designed for reliable RS-232-style connections between equipment that uses a DB-25 interface. Constructed with a grey outer jacket and standard DB-25 connectors, this cable is intended to provide stable signal transfer for devices such as legacy printers, modems, industrial controllers and other serial peripherals that require a 25-pin D-sub connection.

Advantages

This DB-25 serial cable offers consistent electrical contact and a length suited for desk-to-equipment connections or short rack runs. The 3 m length balances reach and signal integrity while the robust outer jacket protects conductors from everyday wear. Connector housings and pins are designed to maintain a secure mechanical fit and reliable contact over repeated insertions and removals.

Suitable for

• Connecting legacy printers and plotters with DB-25 serial ports
• Linking modems and external serial devices to hosts
• Industrial control equipment and PLC interfaces that use D-sub 25-pin wiring
• Service, diagnostics and firmware updates where a DB-25 serial link is required

Key specifications

• Cable length: 3 meters
• Connector type: DB-25 (25-pin D-sub)
• Colour: Grey outer jacket
• Intended signal standard: Serial (RS-232-style applications)
• Application environment: Office, workshop, light industrial use

How to use

Ensure both devices are powered off before connecting the DB-25 plugs. Align the 25-pin D-sub connector with the port and insert gently until the connector seats; secure any thumbscrews if present to prevent accidental disconnection. After connections are made, power on devices and configure serial communication parameters (baud rate, parity, data bits, stop bits) as required by the equipment. For field or rack installations, avoid sharp bends and maintain gentle cable routing to preserve conductors and shielding.

Recommendations

For best results, use the cable within its intended length limits and keep it away from strong electromagnetic sources to minimise interference. Inspect connectors periodically for bent pins or wear, and replace the cable if physical damage is visible or communication errors occur.
