Lindy 2m σειριακό καλώδιο null modem/μετάδοσης δεδομένων (9DF/9DF)

The Lindy 2m Serial Null Modem/Data Transfer Cable (9DF/9DF) is a 2‑metre Sub‑D serial cable with female 9‑pin connectors and a crossover (null modem) pin configuration. It is designed for PC‑to‑PC data transfer and compatibility with legacy software and operating systems such as Laplink, Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP, MS‑DOS Interlink and DR/Novell‑DOS Filelink. The cable is fully moulded and comes in a white finish with a manufacturer warranty of 10 years.

Advantages

The fully moulded design enhances mechanical strength and reduces the risk of connector or cable failure. The crossover pinout enables direct serial communication between two computers without a modem or DTE/DCE adapter. At 2 metres length the cable provides convenient reach for desktop connections while maintaining signal integrity thanks to Sub‑D shielding and reliable connector contacts.

Suitable for

• Direct PC‑to‑PC serial data transfer
• Connecting legacy systems and industrial equipment with 9‑pin serial ports
• Using Laplink, MS‑DOS Interlink, DR/Novell‑DOS Filelink and older Windows file transfer utilities
• Environments requiring a durable, fully moulded serial cable

Key specifications

• Type: Serial null modem / data transfer cable
• Connectors: 9‑way D female to 9‑way D female (9DF/9DF)
• Pin configuration: Crossover (null modem)
• Length: 2 m
• Colour: White
• Compatibility: Laplink, Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP, MS‑DOS Interlink, DR/Novell‑DOS Filelink
• Construction: Fully moulded
• Warranty: 10 years

How to use

Connect each 9‑pin female connector to the corresponding 9‑pin serial port on the two computers or devices. Ensure ports are enabled and serial communication settings (baud rate, parity, data bits, stop bits, and flow control) match on both systems before initiating the transfer. Use the chosen file transfer software (for example Laplink or MS‑DOS Interlink) to start the data exchange.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, avoid excessive bending near the connector ends and keep the cable away from high‑voltage power lines or strong electromagnetic sources. Verify that the target devices support null modem connections and configure serial port parameters to match before transferring data.
