Σειριακό καλώδιο ShiverPeaks BS78023-2 γκρι 1,8 m DB-25

The ShiverPeaks BS78023-2 Grey 1.8 m DB-25 is a serial cable intended for reliable asynchronous data connections between devices that use a DB-25 interface. With a 1.8-meter length and a flexible grey jacket, the cable balances reach and manageability, making it suitable for desktop, rack, and lab environments where a durable, low-profile connection is required.

Advantages

This serial cable offers stable signal transmission through a standard DB-25 connector and a construction that resists everyday wear. The 1.8 m length provides sufficient distance for most workstation and equipment layouts without excessive slack. The flexible outer sheath simplifies routing in confined spaces while maintaining mechanical protection for the conductors, and the connector design ensures consistent mating with DB-25 ports.

Suitable for

• Connecting legacy serial printers, modems, or instrumentation to host equipment
• Linking routers, switches or other network devices that accept DB-25 serial interfaces
• Use in lab benches, server racks, or desktop setups requiring a mid-length serial connection
• Temporary or permanent device interconnections during maintenance and testing

Key specifications

• Connector type: DB-25 male to DB-25 female (standard serial pinout)
• Cable length: 1.8 m
• Color: grey outer jacket
• Construction: flexible insulated conductors with protective outer sheath
• Intended use: RS-232/serial communications between DB-25-equipped devices

How to use

Connect the DB-25 male end to the host device and the DB-25 female end to the peripheral or vice versa according to the equipment pinout. Ensure both devices are powered off when plugging or unplugging to avoid potential signal issues. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and pinch points; secure with cable ties or guides as needed to prevent strain on the connectors. Verify communication settings (baud rate, parity, stop bits) on both devices to establish a successful serial link.

Recommendations

For reliable long-term operation, avoid exposure to excessive heat, moisture, and mechanical abrasion. When used in confined or high-density installations, maintain gentle bend radii and avoid placing heavy objects on the cable. If communication issues occur, inspect connectors for bent pins and confirm cable continuity with a multimeter before replacing equipment.
