Connect the Samsung T9 to your device using the supplied USB-C to C cable for modern hosts or the USB-C to A cable for legacy ports. The drive uses the NVMe protocol over USB, so your operating system should automatically recognise it; install any available Samsung Magician software and firmware updates to optimise performance and monitor drive health. For encrypted protection, enable AES 256-bit password encryption through Samsung Magician and follow the on-screen steps to set a secure password.
Use the T9 with compatible devices running recent versions of Windows, macOS or Android for best transfer speeds. Keep firmware and Samsung Magician up to date, avoid prolonged operation in high-temperature environments to maintain performance, and store backups of critical data in addition to using the drive’s encryption and drop resistance features.
