ROLINE InfiniBand/καλώδιο οπτικών ινών 20 m 2x LC πράσινο OM5

ROLINE InfiniBand/fibre optic cable 20 m 2x LC Green OM5 is a multimode optical patch cable designed for high-speed data links in rack, server and data centre environments. The cable uses OM5 multimode fibre with a 50 µm core diameter and two LC connectors to provide full duplex transmission over a 20 metre reach. The green jacket identifies the OM5 fibre type and helps with organised cabling in complex installations.

Advantages

This 20 m OM5 fibre cable delivers high bandwidth and low attenuation suitable for short- to medium-range multimode connections. The LC duplex connectors ensure secure, low-loss mating with transceivers and patch panels commonly used in InfiniBand and fibre optic networks. The multimode OM5 specification supports wavelength-division multiplexing techniques and improved modal bandwidth compared with earlier multimode types, allowing reliable performance for demanding data transfer tasks.

Suitable for

• InfiniBand links between switches and host channel adapters
• Server-to-switch and switch-to-switch multimode connections in data centres
• Patching between OM5-compatible transceivers and panels
• High-throughput storage networks and HPC clusters within a 20 m span

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM5 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: 2x LC duplex (full duplex)
• Cable length: 20 metres
• Jacket colour: Green (OM5 identification)
• Transmission type: Multimode, full duplex

How to use

Route the cable between the two equipment endpoints ensuring bend radii are respected to avoid signal degradation. Insert the LC duplex connectors into the corresponding LC ports on transceivers, patch panels or switches, matching TX and RX channels for proper full duplex operation. Secure excess cable to cable management trays or rack organizers to prevent strain on the connectors. Test the link after installation using appropriate fibre test equipment or by checking link status LEDs on connected devices.

Recommendations

Store and handle the OM5 fibre cable in a clean environment, avoid contaminating connector endfaces and use a fibre cleaning tool if needed. Maintain minimum bend radius specifications, avoid excessive tension during installation, and verify compatibility of connected transceivers with OM5 multimode fibre for optimal performance.
