Πρόσοψη Low-Profile PLANET ENW-9701 Εσωτερική Ίνα

The PLANET Low Profile Bracket ENW-9701 Internal Fiber is a PCI Express fiber Ethernet adapter that delivers up to 1000Base-X performance for server and workstation environments. It provides up to 2000 Mbps full-duplex throughput, a small form factor suitable for low-profile systems, and low power consumption. The adapter accepts 1000Base-SX/LX SFP transceivers to extend network links from 550 meters on multimode fiber to multiple kilometers on single-mode fiber (options depend on installed SFP module).

Advantages

The ENW-9701 uses a PCI Express bus architecture to provide higher bandwidth than legacy 32/64-bit PCI cards. It supports IEEE 802.1Q VLAN tagging, IEEE 802.3 flow control, and 9K Jumbo Frame capability to optimize throughput and minimize packet loss. Its SFP-based interface offers flexible distance and transceiver choices, and the low-profile bracket makes it compatible with compact chassis.

Suitable for

• High-performance servers and workstations requiring fiber uplinks
• Data center trunking and long-distance fiber connections
• Environments needing VLAN segmentation and high throughput

Key specifications

• Interface: PCI Express (low profile)
• Port: 1000Base-X via SFP (user-installed SFP module)
• Throughput: up to 2000 Mbps full-duplex
• Jumbo Frame: up to 9K
• Standards: IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.1Q, IEEE 802.3x Flow Control
• Compatibility: low-profile systems, standard PCIe driver required

How to use

Install the ENW-9701 into an available PCI Express slot in a compatible low-profile server or workstation. Insert a suitable 1000Base-SX or 1000Base-LX SFP transceiver according to the desired fiber type and distance, then connect fiber cabling. Install the appropriate standard PCIe driver for the host operating system if not already present. Configure network settings such as speed, duplex, VLANs and flow control through the host OS or network management tools.

Recommendations

Choose SFP transceivers that match your fiber type and required link distance (multimode for short links up to 550 m; single-mode modules for long-reach links). Verify driver availability for your server OS before deployment and use VLAN and flow-control settings to optimize throughput in congested networks.
