Πομποδέκτης και δέκτης AV Kramer Electronics EXT3-U-KIT ενσύρματο USB Type-A Type-B

The Kramer Electronics EXT3-U-KIT is an AV transmitter and receiver set for extending USB 2.0, RS-232 and audio signals over twisted-pair CAT cable with two-way powering. The kit includes an EXT3-U-T transmitter that converts a USB input into a CAT signal and an EXT3-U-R receiver that converts the CAT signal back to USB. The units are compact and intended for wired connectivity in applications requiring extended reach between a host and USB peripherals.

Advantages

The EXT3-U-KIT supports USB 2.0 extension alongside RS-232 and audio over a single CAT cable, reducing cable clutter and simplifying installations. Two-way powering over the twisted pair allows flexible power sourcing from either end. The compact enclosures and standard USB Type-A/Type-B connectors make the kit compatible with common host devices and peripherals.

Suitable for

• Extending USB 2.0 devices such as printers, cameras, and flash drives over CAT cable
• Integrating RS-232 control between remote devices and control systems
• Transmitting analog audio along with USB and serial signals in AV setups
• Installations requiring remote powering of the receiver or transmitter over twisted pair

How to use

Connect the transmitter (EXT3-U-T) to the USB host using the appropriate USB Type-A or Type-B cable, and connect the receiver (EXT3-U-R) to the peripheral device with the matching USB connector. Link the transmitter and receiver using a single CAT twisted-pair cable. Provide DC power to one or both units or use two-way powering over the CAT cable according to installation needs. Ensure RS-232 and audio connections are made where required and verify signal continuity before operation.

Recommendations

Use high-quality shielded CAT cable (e.g., Cat5e or better) for reliable signal extension, follow distance and bandwidth guidelines for USB 2.0, and confirm correct wiring and power configuration to prevent communication or power issues.
