Πολυστυρόλιο Wedo 160 800037 γκρι

The WEDO polystyrene 160 800037 in grey is a compact foam sheet measuring 333 mm in width, 183 mm in depth and 31 mm in height. This lightweight, dimensionally stable polystyrene panel provides a smooth, even surface suitable for cutting, gluing and surface finishing. Its neutral grey colour and consistent thickness make it a practical material for modelling, craftwork, prototype construction and educational uses where a rigid but easy-to-work substrate is required.

Advantages

The product combines low weight with structural rigidity, which simplifies handling and installation while maintaining shape under normal working conditions. The uniform surface supports a wide range of adhesives, paints and coverings, and the panel can be trimmed with common hobby tools. Grey colouring reduces show-through of underlying layers and provides a neutral base for painting or decorating.

Suitable for

• Scale modelling and architectural mock-ups
• School and educational projects
• DIY crafts and hobby projects
• Prototyping and light display construction

Key specifications

• Material: polystyrene foam
• Colour: grey
• Dimensions: 333 mm × 183 mm × 31 mm (width × depth × height)
• Surface: smooth, even finish suitable for finishing and painting
• Weight: lightweight panel for easy handling

How to use

Cut the polystyrene sheet to the required shape using a sharp craft knife, hot wire cutter or fine saw appropriate for foam materials. For gluing, use adhesives that specify compatibility with polystyrene to avoid solvent damage; contact adhesives, PVA glues formulated for plastics, or special foam adhesives are recommended. Sand lightly with fine-grit sandpaper to prepare the surface before painting. When applying paint, use water-based or foam-safe paint systems and test on a small area first.

Recommendations

Store the panel flat in a dry, temperature-stable environment away from direct heat and solvents. Wear appropriate protective equipment when cutting or sanding to avoid inhaling dust; perform cutting operations on a stable surface with appropriate clamps. Keep away from open flame and strong solvents that may damage polystyrene.
