Πάνελ θήκης δίσκου Icy Dock MB155SP-B Μαύρο

The Icy Dock FatCage MB155SP-B is a 5-in-3 internal SATA III (6 Gbps) hot-swappable RAID backplane designed to install up to five 3.5" SATA hard drives while occupying three 5.25" drive bays. This lite version of the MB45X series removes monitoring features to improve cooling and reduce cost while retaining the core EZ-Tray hot-swap tray system and a three-year warranty. The unit uses 15-pin SATA power connectors and a full-metal chassis to support reliable operation and efficient heat dissipation.

Advantages

The MB155SP-B combines high drive density with a compact footprint, allowing five 3.5" drives to be mounted in three 5.25" bays. A full-metal body and an optimized airflow path direct incoming air toward a large 92 mm cooling fan, aided by dual exhaust vents and enlarged PCB cutouts for improved ventilation. The modular fan design and compatibility with 2-pin and 3-pin fans make maintenance and upgrades straightforward. The existing EZ-Tray rail system provides tool-free, secure hot-swap capability compatible with trays from related Icy Dock series.

Suitable for

• Small server and NAS builds requiring high storage density
• Workstations or desktops needing multiple 3.5" SATA drives
• Environments where easy hot-swap and drive maintenance are required

How to use

Install the MB155SP-B into three contiguous 5.25" drive bays of your host system and connect SATA data and 15-pin SATA power cables. Insert compatible 3.5" SATA drives into the EZ-Trays, slide each tray into the cage until it locks, and operate drives as standard SATA devices. Use the fan jumper to set the desired fan mode (High, Low, Off) and replace or upgrade the 92 mm fan as needed using the modular connector; both 2-pin and 3-pin fan headers are available for compatibility.

Recommendations

For reliable temperature control, ensure the MB155SP-B has unobstructed airflow inside the chassis and use the High or Low fan mode according to drive workload. Verify 15-pin SATA power availability and secure metal-latch SATA cables where possible. When replacing drives, use the EZ-Tray mechanism—press the release button and operate the lever—to minimize downtime during hot-swap operations.
