Megasat Koax Quadshield 120 is a 100 m reel of quad-shield coaxial antenna cable designed for television and satellite signal distribution. The cable provides four layers of shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain consistent signal levels across long runs. Packaged on a reusable reel, the cable is intended for both indoor and outdoor routing and supports multi-room and professional cabling applications where reliable RF transmission is required.

Advantages

The quad-shield construction offers enhanced protection against ingress of noise from nearby electrical equipment and radio frequency sources, improving signal-to-noise ratio for TV and satellite reception. A stable characteristic impedance and consistent conductor geometry minimize signal reflections and attenuation over the full 100 m length. Supplied on a reel, the product simplifies measurement and pull-through during installation and reduces kinking and handling damage.

How to use

Measure the required run and unwind the cable from the reel, ensuring gentle bends to avoid deforming the coaxial geometry. Route the cable through conduits or along designated cable paths, securing with appropriate clips or ties without compressing the shield. Strip the outer jacket and shielding only where connectors will be fitted, and use compatible F-type or other recommended RF connectors installed according to the connector manufacturer's instructions to maintain impedance continuity. Test signal levels after installation and adjust termination or distribution as needed.

Recommendations

Avoid prolonged exposure of installed cable to direct sunlight and water pooling; where continuous outdoor exposure is expected, use additional UV-protected conduit or weatherproofing. Keep the cable away from high-voltage power lines and strong RF transmitters to minimize interference. For long distribution runs or multi-split systems, verify signal strength at endpoints and consider using distribution amplifiers or attenuators to achieve optimal reception.
