Μύλος αλατιού Zassenhaus Frankfurt

The Zassenhaus Frankfurt Salt mill is a wooden hand grinder designed specifically for grinding salt. Crafted in Germany, it combines a compact footprint (60 mm width and depth, 240 mm height) with a dedicated grinding mechanism optimised for salt crystals. The mill's natural wooden housing and practical size make it suitable for both tabletop use and countertop storage, providing consistent seasoning with each turn of the crank.

Advantages

The salt mill offers a stable, easy-to-operate mechanism that produces an even grind tailored to salt. Its wooden construction provides good tactile feel and visual warmth while remaining compact enough for small kitchens. German manufacturing standards ensure reliable build quality and long-term performance when used for seasoning tasks.

Suitable for

• Seasoning finished dishes at the table
• Dispensing coarse or fine-grain salt in the kitchen
• Home cooks and professional chefs who prefer manual mills
• Use in dining settings where a natural wooden aesthetic is desired

Key specifications

• Material: high-quality wood housing with metal grinding mechanism
• Designed for: salt grinding
• Overall dimensions: 60 mm (width) × 60 mm (depth) × 240 mm (height)
• Operation: manual crank
• Finish: natural wood surface

How to use

Fill the mill with dry salt crystals through the top opening according to the manufacturer's filling instructions. Hold the body steady with one hand and turn the crank with the other to grind salt directly onto food or into a container. Adjust grind size if the mechanism provides a setting, and avoid putting wet or damp salt into the mill to prevent clogging or corrosion of the grinding parts. Clean the exterior with a dry or slightly damp cloth and follow specific care guidance for the internal mechanism from the manufacturer.

Recommendations

Use coarse, dry salt for best performance and consistent grinding. Store the mill in a dry place away from direct steam or moisture to maintain the wooden finish and the grinding mechanism. Periodically inspect and, if recommended by the manufacturer, lightly brush the grinding parts to remove residue.
