Key specifications

• Function: image transfer drum unit for laser printing
• Compatibility: designed for compatible Toshiba laser printers that accept the OD-478P-R drum form factor
• Form factor: replaceable cartridge-style drum unit designed for straightforward installation

How to use

Switch the printer off and follow the manufacturer’s service manual or on-device instructions to access the drum compartment. Remove the old drum unit carefully to avoid toner spillage and handle the replacement by its designated grips or edges to prevent contact with the drum surface. Insert the new drum unit until it locks in place, close the cover and power the printer on. The printer may run an internal initialization or calibration routine; allow this process to complete before printing. Dispose of the old drum in accordance with local regulations for electronic waste and toner-containing components.

Recommendations

For consistent results, replace the drum unit at the intervals recommended by the printer manufacturer or when print defects appear. Use compatible toner cartridges and follow cleaning and maintenance procedures in the printer manual to extend the life of the drum unit. Store spare drum units in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and handle them carefully to avoid scratching or contaminating the drum surface.
