Μονάδα switch δικτύου HPE 8-Port 1G/10GbE SFP+ MACsec v3 zl2

The HPE 8-port 1G/10GbE SFP+ MACsec v3 zl2 module is a hot-pluggable network module designed for HP Enterprise switch platforms such as the 5400R zl2 (J9993A). It provides eight SFP+ ports that support 1 Gbit/s and 10 Gbit/s data rates and implements MACsec v3 to enhance link-layer security while maintaining compatibility with IEEE Ethernet standards.

Advantages

This module delivers high-speed connectivity with support for both 1G and 10GbE SFP+ interfaces, enabling flexible port utilization. Built to HP Enterprise quality, it is compatible with the 5400R zl2 chassis and model J9993A, simplifying upgrades and replacements. MACsec v3 support provides hardware-based link encryption to protect traffic between connected devices while preserving performance and interoperability with IEEE 802.3 standards.

Suitable for

• Enterprise edge and distribution switch deployments
• Aggregating server or storage uplinks requiring 10GbE
• Environments needing link-layer encryption (MACsec)
• Upgrading or expanding HP 5400R zl2 systems

Key specifications

• Brand: HP Enterprise
• Model / MPN: J9993A
• EAN: 0888182604311
• Ports: 8 × SFP+
• Supported data rates: 1 Gbit/s, 10 Gbit/s

How to use

Install the module into a compatible HP Enterprise switch slot (for example, 5400R zl2) while the chassis is powered down or following the vendor's hot-plug instructions. Populate the SFP+ ports with appropriate 1G or 10G SFP/SFP+ transceivers or DACs, then configure port speeds, VLANs, and MACsec parameters through the switch management interface according to your network policy. Verify link status and security association after configuration.

Recommendations

Use certified HPE SFP/SFP+ transceivers and follow HP Enterprise guidelines for MACsec configuration and key management to ensure interoperability and maintain network performance.
