Μονάδα SSD HPE 1,6 TB 2,5 ίντσες SAS P49746-001

The HPE 1.6 TB 2.5" SAS P49746-001 is an internal solid state drive designed for enterprise server environments. With a usable capacity of 1600 GB and a 2.5-inch form factor, this SAS SSD supports high-speed data transfers and is intended to improve storage performance and reliability in data centers and critical systems.

Advantages

This SAS SSD delivers a high-capacity 1600 GB in a compact 2.5" form factor while supporting a SAS interface with a 12 Gbit/s transfer capability. The design prioritizes sustained performance, reduced access latency, and improved I/O responsiveness compared with traditional rotating disks. Built for server use, it offers enhanced durability and consistent throughput under heavy read/write workloads.

Suitable for

• Enterprise servers and rack-mounted storage arrays
• Database systems and transactional applications
• Virtualization hosts and hyper-converged infrastructures
• High-performance caching and tiered storage
• Environments requiring reliable, sustained I/O performance

Key specifications

• Capacity: 1600 GB usable solid state storage
• Form factor: 2.5-inch drive
• Interface: Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) with 12 Gbit/s transfer rate
• Optimized for sustained server-class I/O and low latency access
• Designed for internal installation in server drive bays

How to use

Install the drive into a compatible 2.5" SAS drive bay in accordance with the server manufacturer’s instructions. Ensure the server firmware and RAID or storage controller support 12 Gbit/s SAS devices and recognize the drive capacity. After physical installation, initialize and format the drive using the operating system or storage management tools appropriate for the deployment, and configure RAID or logical volumes as required for redundancy and performance.

Recommendations

Use this drive in systems with SAS 12 Gbit/s backplanes and enterprise-grade controllers. For best results in mission-critical environments, pair the SSD with appropriate RAID levels, up-to-date firmware, and monitoring tools to track health and performance metrics.
