How to use

Attach the S840 to a compatible smartphone or tablet with the Universal Klip, Klip Case, or DuraCase for one‑handed operation. Power on the scanner, pair it with your device over Bluetooth following the device pairing instructions, then open the application you use for scanning. Aim the scanner at the barcode so the imager can capture the code and wait for the confirmation beep or LED indicator. The S840 reads codes displayed on screens and printed labels; ensure the barcode is within the scanner’s field of view and held steady until successfully decoded.

Recommendations

For reliable scanning, keep the scan window clean and protect the scanner with a Klip Case or DuraCase in demanding environments. Use the Apple‑certified Klip Cases or the DuraCase when working with iPhone or iPod touch models listed by the manufacturer for a secure fit and combined charging.
