Expansion Module DeTeWe 470 4 Ports is an add-on hardware unit designed to increase the port capacity of compatible DeTeWe communication systems. The module provides four additional ports for connecting devices or lines, enabling smoother scaling of business telephony installations without requiring a full system replacement. It is intended for use within existing DeTeWe 470-series setups and similar compatible configurations.

Advantages

The module offers a compact form factor that integrates with existing system racks and reduces the need for larger hardware upgrades. With four extra ports, it allows incremental capacity expansion and minimizes installation time by fitting into standard mounting positions. The unit supports common telephony and line interfaces used in DeTeWe systems, facilitating straightforward integration and consistent signal handling.

Suitable for

• Small to medium business telephone systems that need additional ports
• Upgrading existing DeTeWe communication installations with minimal downtime
• Connecting supplementary devices or analog/digital lines in office environments
• Technical service environments where modular expansion is preferred

Key specifications

• Number of ports: 4 additional connection ports
• Compatibility: Designed for integration with DeTeWe 470-series compatible systems
• Form factor: Rack- or chassis-compatible expansion module intended for in-system installation
• Interface types: Supports standard telephony line and device interfaces used in DeTeWe systems
• Power: Draw and supply handled through host system; no separate external power required in typical installations

How to use

Install the expansion module into an available expansion slot or mounting bay of the compatible DeTeWe system following the host system’s installation procedure. Ensure the main system is powered down if the manufacturer’s instructions require it for safe installation. After physical installation, connect the required telephony lines or devices to the module’s ports and verify configuration via the host system’s management interface to enable the new ports. Perform any necessary firmware or configuration updates on the host system to recognize and route calls or signals through the added ports.

Recommendations

Before installation, consult the DeTeWe system documentation to confirm slot compatibility and any firmware requirements. Plan port assignments and document changes to the system configuration to simplify future maintenance. If uncertain about installation steps or system compatibility, engage qualified technical support to avoid service interruptions.
