Microconnect CAB-TEST4 ελεγκτής καλωδίων δικτύου γκρι

The Microconnect CAB-TEST4 is a compact network cable tester for RJ11/RJ12/RJ45 connectors designed to check continuity and identify interruptions or pair interchanges in data and telephone cabling. Intended for CAT5 and CAT6 network wiring as well as ISDN connections, the tester aids quick verification of correct pin-to-pin connectivity and screening.

Advantages

The device provides a clear LED-based connection test for eight individual conductors plus screening, enabling rapid detection of open circuits, short circuits and swapped pairs. Its compact dimensions (80 mm × 23 mm × 57 mm) and lightweight construction make it portable for field use. The tester is powered by a 9 V battery (not included), offering straightforward operation without external power sources.

Suitable for

• Testing CAT5 and CAT6 Ethernet patch and patch-panel cables
• Verifying ISDN and telephone (RJ11/RJ12) wiring
• Identifying continuity issues, open or shorted wires and pair swaps

How to use

Insert a 9 V battery into the tester and connect one end of the cable to the main unit and the other end to the remote/terminator if provided. Activate the tester according to the device switch; observe the LED sequence to confirm correct pin mapping and screening. Use the LEDs to detect open wires, shorts or pair reversals, and interpret the results by comparing the LED pattern to the expected straight-through or crossover wiring configuration.

Recommendations

For reliable results, ensure clean connector contacts and test both ends of long runs. Replace the 9 V battery if LED brightness is reduced. Use in dry environments and store the tester in a protective case to avoid mechanical damage.
