The Hikvision Unmanaged Switch DS-3E0505HP-E is a 5-port Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for simple, reliable network access with PoE power delivery. As a layer 2 Hi-PoE device, it supports advanced PoE power supply technology, long-range transmission and a stable data upload capability, and is suitable for powering devices such as IP cameras and wireless access points while providing basic unmanaged switching functions.

Advantages

This unmanaged switch provides five Gigabit RJ-45 ports with Hi-PoE support and a switching capacity of 10 Gbit/s. It includes a MAC address table for 2000 entries and complies with multiple IEEE standards (including 802.3af/at/bt), operates from a 48 V DC input and offers port isolation and a PoE watchdog function for improved device stability.

Suitable for

• Small office and home networks requiring PoE for IP cameras
• Deployments with wireless access points needing power over Ethernet
• Edge network segments where unmanaged, plug-and-play switches are preferred

How to use

Place the DS-3E0505HP-E on a stable surface or mount it according to site requirements, connect the 48 V DC power supply, then connect IP cameras, access points or other PoE-capable devices to the RJ-45 ports. The switch operates in unmanaged mode and requires no configuration; devices connected to PoE ports will receive power automatically according to the supported PoE standard. Use standard Ethernet cables and verify power budget and device compatibility when connecting multiple high-power PoE devices.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, ensure the external 48 V DC power source meets the total PoE power requirements of connected devices, place the switch in a ventilated area, and verify that connected equipment supports the advertised IEEE PoE standards (802.3af/at/bt).
