METZ BTR TP Patchkabel ISO/IEC Cat.6 AWG26 2x RJ45 7,0m Gelb 1308457077-E

In a busy office, a network engineer runs a new drop to a workstation that demands high-speed, interference-free connectivity. The METZ BTR TP Patch Cable Cat.6 delivers exactly that—a reliable 7-meter link with shielded S/FTP construction, ready for 10 Gigabit Ethernet. Its yellow LSZH jacket stands out for easy identification, while gold-plated RJ45 connectors ensure a clean signal path.

Key specifications

• Length: 7.0 m
• Category: Cat.6 (ISO/IEC 11801, EN 50173)
• Shielding: S/FTP (shielded foiled twisted pair)
• Conductor: AWG26 copper, 4 pairs
• Connectors: 2x RJ45 (8P8C), gold-plated, molded snagless boots
• Jacket: LSZH (low smoke zero halogen), yellow
• Performance: up to 10GBASE-T, 250 MHz bandwidth
• Wiring: TIA/EIA-568B

Why choose it

This patch cable is built for demanding environments where electromagnetic interference can degrade performance. The S/FTP shielding—individual foil around each pair plus an overall braid—provides superior noise immunity compared to unshielded or F/UTP cables. The LSZH jacket is a safety advantage in public buildings, offices, and data centers: in case of fire, it emits very low smoke and no halogen gases, protecting people and equipment. With AWG26 stranded copper conductors, the cable remains flexible and easy to route, while the molded snagless boots protect the locking tabs during frequent plugging and unplugging.

Ideal use cases

• Connecting servers, switches, and patch panels in data centers
• High-speed workstation links for CAD, video editing, or large data transfers
• PoE applications (up to PoE++) thanks to robust construction
• Areas where cable identification by color is needed (yellow for uplinks or specific VLANs)
• Public buildings requiring low-smoke, halogen-free cabling

Good to know

The cable is fully compliant with Cat.6 standards and backward compatible with Cat.5e and lower networks. It supports 10GBASE-T up to 55 meters (though this 7m length easily handles full 10G), making it future-proof for network upgrades. The yellow jacket is not just aesthetic—it aids in quick visual identification, reducing troubleshooting time. Each cable is individually tested to ensure reliable performance.
