Μετεωρολογικός σταθμός JUNG 2224 WH Ασημί

The JUNG 2224 WH Silver weather station detects wind speed, precipitation, twilight, temperature and brightness from three directions and is intended primarily for weather-dependent automatic control of shading in residential buildings. It is designed for outdoor installation on a mast or wall and includes integrated KNX/EIB bus coupling. The device evaluates measured data and performs limiting-value processing internally; it also contains self-monitoring functions that report errors to the bus via indicator objects. A built-in heater prevents frost and condensation down to –20 °C and ensures the precipitation sensor dries quickly after rain and melts snow and ice.

Advantages

The unit provides on-board evaluation of meteorological values and limiting-value logic, reducing load on central controllers. Integrated KNX/EIB monoblock bus coupling simplifies installation and communication with building automation. Self-monitoring and indicator objects improve functional reliability by automatically reporting faults. The separate external 24 V AC/DC supply required for the heating and precipitation sensor ensures reliable rain and snow detection even in freezing conditions.

How to use

Mount the weather station outdoors on a mast or wall in a location representative for the area to be monitored, ensuring clear exposure for wind and light sensors and correct orientation for directional brightness measurements. Connect the device to the KNX/EIB bus for power and data communication; provide an external 24 V AC/DC supply specifically for the heating system and precipitation sensor, since precipitation detection is not available without it. Configure limiting values and logic gates within the device or via the KNX system to integrate shading control and monitoring functions with the rest of the building automation.

Recommendations

For reliable precipitation detection and to prevent sensor icing, always connect the specified external 24 V AC/DC power supply for the heating system. Place the station where obstructions do not block wind and light measurements and perform periodic visual inspections to ensure sensor surfaces are clean and free of debris.
