Managed Switch FiberHome S4820-28T-X-AC L2/L3 Gigabit Ethernet 24 Θύρες

The FiberHome S4820-28T-X-AC is a managed L2/L3 Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for rack-mounted network environments. It includes 24 Gigabit RJ-45 ports and 4 SFP+ uplink modules, delivering a switching capacity of 128 Gbit/s and support for 10G upstream connections. The switch implements widely used IEEE networking standards and integrates reliability, multicast handling, QoS and security features suitable for service provider, enterprise campus, and medium to small business networks.

Advantages

The S4820-28T-X-AC combines a high switching capacity with 24 Gigabit access ports and SFP+ uplinks to provide efficient traffic aggregation and upstream transmission. Built-in L2/L3 functions and advanced QoS mechanisms enable traffic classification, prioritisation and scheduling. Reliability features such as STP/RSTP/MSTP, G.8032 ring protection, VRRP and dual power support reduce downtime risk. Multicast and IGMP services improve IPTV and multicast delivery, while security functions including DHCP snooping, ARP inspection, IP Source Guard and ACLs protect subscriber and network resources.

Suitable for

• Convergence layer in large enterprise and campus networks
• Core or aggregation switch for medium and small enterprise networks
• Edge switch in metropolitan area networks (MAN)
• Desktop or rack-mounted GE terminal access and uplink aggregation

How to use

Install the S4820-28T-X-AC into a standard 19-inch rack and connect AC or DC power as required; AC and DC supplies can operate simultaneously for redundancy. Connect end devices to the 24 Gigabit RJ-45 ports and use the 4 SFP+ ports for 10G uplinks or aggregation to core devices. Configure basic network parameters, VLANs, routing and QoS through the switch management interface (CLI/GUI/management protocols supported by the platform). Enable multicast, security and redundancy features according to network design to ensure correct traffic forwarding and protection.

Recommendations

For stable operation, place the switch in a temperature-controlled rack environment with adequate airflow. Use VLAN segmentation and QoS policies to prioritise latency-sensitive services, and enable IGMP snooping and multicast filtering where IPTV or multicast applications are used. Configure link redundancy and monitoring (VRRP, G.8032) for critical uplinks and use ACLs and port-based security features to limit unauthorized access.
