Managed Switch Extreme Networks 5320-16P-4XE L2 Gigabit Ethernet PoE 16 θύρες

The Extreme Networks 5320-16P-4XE is a managed layer‑2 edge switch with 16 Gigabit Ethernet RJ‑45 ports and IEEE 802.3at PoE support. Designed as part of the 5320 Series universal hardware platform, this model provides end‑to‑end secure segmentation, advanced policy capabilities and a choice of operating system persona selections. The unit includes integrated SFP+ capable uplinks (4 x 1Gb SFP by default on 16‑port models) that are software‑upgradeable to 10Gb and supports high‑performance stacking when running the Switch Engine persona. A 1‑year ExtremeCloud IQ Pilot subscription is included for cloud or on‑box management options.

Advantages

The 5320-16P-4XE combines PoE power delivery with managed L2 switching and upgradeable uplinks, letting you power edge devices while maintaining scalable uplink bandwidth. Dual‑persona hardware provides flexibility to run either Switch Engine or Fabric Engine operating systems and enables automated persona activation via ExtremeCloud IQ. Silent operation on AC/DC 16‑port models at temperatures up to 35°C and support for perpetual and fast PoE increase deployment options in noise‑sensitive and powered‑edge environments.

Suitable for

• Small wiring closets and edge deployments requiring PoE for IP phones, access points or cameras
• Classrooms, hospitality suites or retail areas where silent operation and compact managed switching are needed
• Environments that require cloud or on‑box management and zero‑touch provisioning

How to use

Mount the switch in a wiring closet or suitable shelf location and connect power (AC or DC according to model). Use the included ExtremeCloud IQ Pilot subscription for zero‑touch provisioning to bring the switch online and optionally select the desired OS persona (Switch Engine or Fabric Engine). Alternatively, configure the device using the web GUI or CLI. Connect edge devices to the RJ‑45 ports to supply data and PoE power, and use SFP ports for uplink or stacking connections as required.

Recommendations

For best results, pre‑provision the OS persona in ExtremeCloud IQ when deploying multiple 5320 units. Reserve the two designated SFP+ ports for stacking only when running Switch Engine; otherwise use them for uplink links. Keep the 16‑port AC/DC models in silent mode at temperatures up to 35°C when installing in noise‑sensitive areas.
