Λουκέτο αγκύλης ABUS GRANIT Plus 470 μαύρο 230 mm

The ABUS GRANIT Plus 470 U-lock 230 mm is a hardened-steel bicycle lock designed to offer high resistance to cutting and leverage attacks while remaining compact enough for daily urban use. With a 14 mm diameter shackle and a 230 mm inside length, the lock secures frame and wheel to fixed objects and balances protection with manageable weight. The lock includes a single key and a corrosion-resistant finish for reliable operation in variable weather conditions.

Advantages

The U-lock combines a thick, tempered steel shackle with a reinforced locking mechanism to reduce vulnerability to sawing, bolt cutters and twisting attempts. Its compact 230 mm size allows strong anchoring to many street fixtures while keeping the overall weight at approximately 1.24 kg for easier transport. The lock’s surface treatment and precision key cylinder enhance longevity and smooth operation during frequent use.

Key specifications

• Shackle diameter: 14 mm (hardened steel)
• Internal length: 230 mm
• Internal width: 109 mm
• Weight: approx. 1.24 kg
• Lock type: cylinder key lock (supplied with one key)
• Finish: corrosion-resistant coating

How to use

Position the lock so the shackle passes through the bicycle frame and one wheel, then around a fixed, immovable object. Ensure the chosen anchor point is solid and cannot be lifted or cut out from below. Insert the shackle into the lock body until it engages and turn the key to lock; remove the key and store it safely. For transport, use a compatible mount or carry the lock in a bag to avoid damaging the bicycle frame.

Recommendations

For maximum security, use the ABUS GRANIT Plus 470 U-lock in combination with a secondary cable or chain to secure both wheels and the frame. Prefer well-lit, busy locations when leaving your bicycle and attach the lock to secure, anchored fixtures. Periodically lubricate the key cylinder with an approved lock lubricant and check the coating for damage to maintain corrosion resistance.
